Dear Love in Seattle

January 29th, 2010 by Kyla Mollett Of The Retort Staff

The beauty of a natural disaster
She should be the queen of a castle
I like to think that I'm the one in control
But she's got me around her finger
Driving me mad, driving me insane

I can't believe this story is unfolding before my eyes
Is it true that one love's kiss is enough to make you die
Dance, will you take my hand tonight
And forget about our past, so we can follow the words happily ever after

As we just keep spiraling down
Living on a prayer to avoid all the frowns
I can't promise you the first but I can promise you a million more
But still we dream on, for a better tomorrow
My heart is here for you not just to borrow
I'll be with you when you’re scared or feeling sorrow

When the sun goes down I feel the warmth of your heart
It's enough to make me feel the love start
But please oh please don't let it grow dark
The leaves are still falling around you
Because you’re just as beautiful as nature

Everybody needs a love in Seattle
Will you be my romance in a flash
Just wrote to say there is no end ‘cause I want this to last
The only question left is this dead

I don't want this story to end here
I want there to be a thousand more smiles and tears
You’re my wings when I want to get away
And on cloud number nine is where with you I shall stay
