Wandering

February 19th, 2010 by Kyla Mollett Of The Retort Staff

I gaze deep into your eyes
My heart sets a blaze and my cheeks turn pink
You surface towards me in my clouded mind
And force your lips upon mine
Your eyes smile at me as we kiss
I feel faint in this state of bliss
Does happiness end?
One day are the curtians pulled
Are we just coming up to the end of a long dead road?
I can't get you out of my head
I cut my head off if I wasn't already dead (Thank you Violent Jay)
I feel so warm when you wrap yourself around me
Happiness covers me when we are together
Inseparable we are, we were, we will be?
Or do we take different paths
You drift away out of my sight, out of my life
My heart beat skips and sinks to the depths of my being

Our silouettes dance threw my mind
Talking into the starry night hearts intertwined
Our roads have split and you leave without a backwards glance
I stare after you and I feel alone
The world twists around my darkened thoughts
And I turn and start walking down my road
I've made myself unreachable, I'm the one that walked away
And I see the sun begin to seek for me over the horizon
It hits my face and warms me, warms my heart as you did
Yet my back feels cold as we walk away
I hope for everything to be warm one day
To face you again.
