In a fallen angel's heart,
A sadness finds refuge;
When my life falls apart,
An anger finds its way through;
And in that angel's mind,
There is an agony so pure,
That when I look inside I'm blind,
There is a very painful lure;
It pulls me toward her,
Not letting go,
And when I see her,
Now I know.
I am her, and she is me,
We are each other,
And now I see,
In this world I had no mother;
So I tell her so,
And I tell her why,
She says she knows,
And I say I try;
And we hold ourselves,
Together as one,
And I kiss her lips,
And she says it's done;
But I say goodbye,
As reluctant as I am,
And she tells me to cry,
And says that we're Damned!
So as we part,
I want to yell,
And it tears at my heart,
As I say see you in Hell!
But she smiles at me,
And blows me a kiss,
And I drown in a sea,
It is her I miss!
But I know one day,
In a fiery pit,
It is safe to say,
That my soul is lit!
And even though we might
Burn with so much pain,
Our love will shine bright,
When our bodies lay slain.
