Hold on to Them Forever

March 26th, 2010 by Kyla Mollett Of The Retort Staff

Don't let go, whatever you do. Stay together, close forever; when they are taken, no one knows, and don't be mistaken, for the truths of Life may actually be the lies we run from, hide from, die from. Seek out every growing moment, glowing life and seething heart-beat; fall back, the retreats of Time, passing without care or signs. Pull close to you the ones cry for your mistakes, who hurt for your sake; hold tight the ones who see your beauty hidden inside, the ones who aren't afraid to remind you of what joys you bring to everyone who gives a damn. And it is true, so many do give a damn: they curse you out when you act so reckless, hoping and praying that you don't come home lifeless; the people who praise you for not being heartless. Savor the minutes you have together, because Forever doesn't last forever.
