72 Days Later, Kim Kardashian Files for Divorce

By now everyone in the world probably knows who Kim Kardashian is. Needless to say, everyone probably also knows about her $10 million wedding , and 72 days later, her divorce filing. I usually do not care about anyone else’s personal life, especially when it comes to celebrities, but it really makes me think when someone paying that much money for a marriage that they knew was not going to work out.

First, let’s take a look at some of the specific costs of the Kardashian-Humphries wedding. After dating for only about six months, Kris Humphries, a professional basketball player that I have never heard of in my life, proposed to Kim Kardashian with a $2 million ring. After saying yes, it was up to Kim to plan out the wedding. However, because her brain seems to be a tad bit too small, she of course believed that a $25,000 gown, $20,000 six-foot-tall cake, and $10,000 wedding invitations were all necessary. And of course, being a lover of attention, Kim thought it would also be necessary to broadcast the wedding all over the world, nonstop. And now this is where it gets fishy.

Kim Kardashian recently said, “When I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.” Right, like anyone would get married and throw away $10 million just to “keep” people happy. If she knew she was not sure about getting married, and also knew she would be making a lot of profit from the wedding, what was really going on in her head? In my opinion, this wedding was nothing but a plan to make more money, just like in the case of her sex tape that won her fame.

Either way, if making money was her only goal, then she accomplished that goal very well. That is if $18 million is enough money to make her happy. According to the International Business Times, Kardashian and Humphries received “$15 million for a four-hour, two-part wedding special on E!, $2.5 million for exclusive photos with People magazine, $300,000 for an exclusive engagement announcement with People, $100,000 for exclusive rights to a bridal shower with Britain’s OK! Magazine, and $50,000 to have a bachelorette party at Tao in Las Vegas.” Ridiculous! Kardashian is not only rich and famous for no reason, but she also gets to trade $10 million for fun and another $18 million!

The sad thing about this wedding is the fact that there are so many poor people out there who only earn a couple thousand dollars per year, are dying of hunger, and struggling to pay for tuition! Like, hello Kim Kardashian, mind pitching a penny since you obviously love to throw away your money on useless things like weddings, Botox, and tons of makeup? It is also sad to say that Kim Kardashian’s wedding could have paid for my tuition for over thousands of years.
